Terminale Student Statistics

 Out of 516,229 terminale (final year of secondary school/high school students pursuing postbac inscription via le site www.admission-postbac.fr:

• Approximately 88% received an acceptance offer from the academic establishment of their choice.

• 12% ie, 61,229 terminale students did not receive a proposition after “la procedure complementaire” (addition procedures).

 Of the approximately 455,000 terminale students who received an offer, 80% accepted.

 Of the 91,000 students who refused, postbac orientation was as follows:

• 1/ gone for an apprenticeship
• 2/ gone for a direct contact with academic institutions outside the Admission postbac procedure
• 3/ gone abroad
• 4/ Were no longer interested in the offer they received.

 "Overbooking" practiced by Universities is approximately 20%.

 "Overbooking" practiced by CPGEs (Preparatory class) is approximately 8%

IDF (Ile de France)Statistics

 22,936 terminale students have registered (including bac pro + bac techno: 6500 terminale students).

 The average number of choices per terminale student was 7.

 90% received an offer, 72% accepted.

 Those admitted by formation are:

• L1 + médecine: 53%,
• BTS: 21%,
• IUT:10%,
• CPGE: 14%.

 For students in general terminale:

• 35% were accepted into CPGE (Preparatory class),
• 7% by IUT
• and 6% in BTS.

 The number of average choices per terminale student is equal to 7.

Out of 680,734 candidates who effectuated at least 1 choice, the distribution of assignments is as follows:

• - Choices confirmed L1 (license): 204,285

• - CPGEs (Preparatory class): 42,411

• - Formation in Engineering: 6488
• - BTS/BTSA/DTS : 117.968

• - IUT : 58.513

• Refused: 90,000 holders of the baccalaureat diploma (apprentissage, unsuitable response, moving abroad, have chosen an institution outside the Admission postbac procedure)

• Have not been granted their baccalaureat: 60,000
• Other: 7726 (training in the arts, architecture schools, agricultural training, etc ...)

• 86,117 terminale students for whom we do not have statistics statistiques

1. 57% of rank 1 choices were satisfied
2. 16% of rank 2 choices were satisfied

• The average number of choices per candidate for CPGE (Preparatory class) is 4.3.

• Out of 79,000 candidates who applied for a CPGE, 42,411 were admitted, an admission rate of 53.68%
